By TOM KRISHER AP Auto Writer (AP) 04:24:50 PM (ET), Tuesday, December 1, 2009 (NEW YORK) People familiar with the matter say General Motors' Chief Executive Frederick "Fritz" Henderson will resign. The company's chairman of the board Ed Whitacre Jr. will serve as interim replacement. These people requested anonymity because the news has not yet been announced. * Released half hour ago @ this time of posting. Rough times for GM. *
